Productified is for you if you have an idea and want to develop it into product and bring it to market, while making all the business and product decisions. We provide advice and resources to make this happen.

Yes! Productified provides advice and resources for busy professionals to save you time and money and help you be more efficient.

The Idea Development Guide is applicable to any product because most of the steps are similar. When it comes to “ask our idea development experts”, most of our expertise is in hardware and software products, ranging from simple to complex physical devices, gadgets, smart connected hardware, such as Internet of Things (IoT), websites and apps for consumer, industrial, and medical applications.

The combination of our step-action Guide, support system, and access to reliable, affordable freelancers is what makes us stand apart.

Our Guide is like your time: limited. It provides practical information about the why, when, what, and how. Why a specific step needs to be done? When it needs to be done, and what is the right order of steps, to save your time and money. What exactly needs to be done? How to do it, if you prefer doing it yourself, or how to select the right expert to do it for you in a cost-effective way.

The Guide is not a bunch of theory but a step-action manual. You learn by doing like a true entrepreneur.

You can lean on our support system and get help by asking our idea development experts.

We make money through freelancers and service providers. There are no extra or hidden costs for you whatsoever. We get paid a small fraction of what you spend with the freelancers.

And you only pay freelancers if you’re satisfied with their work, guaranteed! Therefore, your goals and ours are aligned because we only make money if you’re successful.

All you need to do to get our support for free is to sign up for a service, such as Fiverr, using the link we provide, simply by clicking on a “view cost-effective experts on Fiverr” button.

We will never ask you to share your idea with us. It is your intellectual property.

When asking our experts for help, please make sure not to disclose any confidential information.

If you need to discuss your idea with us, we are happy to sign an NDA.

There are several ways to deter others from copying your idea:

  1. A patent or even a patent application, whether provisional or non-provisional. Once a patent application is submitted, you can state “Patent Pending” on any description of your invention.
  2. If your idea is not patentable, you can keep its “secret sauce” a secret, as in “trade secret”.
  3. When talking to other parties, such as vendors or potential partners, request to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Make sure to mark all confidential information “Proprietary and Confidential. Property of …”.

It is important to keep in mind that no patent or NDA is bulletproof; somebody with significant resources and motivation may try to copy your idea and possibly work around your patent. Your speed is the best competitive advantage: the faster you bring your product to market and start selling, the harder it will be to compete against it.

If your goal is to land a licensing deal, these three activities are essential to improve your chances of getting such a deal and increase the royalties from the product’s sales:

  1. Market research to make sure your product solves a real problem and your future customers are willing to pay for it.
  2. Develop your intellectual property. Two types of intellectual property are commonly licensed: patents and trade secrets, such as a source code, software, algorithm, process, recipe, or a list of ingredients.
  3. Develop and build a functional prototype to demonstrate the product and prove the feasibility and function.
